Botanical Name: Anthemis nobilis

A supreme calming and relaxing oil. Very rich in esters, it is very useful to calm irritability, stress, insomnia, tension headaches & the like. Considered by some to be the essential oil ‘Rescue Remedy’.
As with German Chamomile, it has soothing effects on sensitive and irritated skin, eczema & dermatitis.  For skin conditions always heavily dilute and consult an experienced Aromatherapist or your health practitioner.

Principal Constituents:

• Primarily angelic
• butanoic
• acrylic & tiglic acid esters (70 -80%), with isobutyl angelate (36%)
• 2-methylbutyl angelate (16%)

Directions:

Topical application:  This 3% dilution is primarily designed to be used ‘as is’ or diluted somewhat to be used directly on the skin.  For adults with sensitive skin & children over 1 year of age dilute 50/50 or more with Essential Base Lotion, Organic Massage Oil or Organic Jojoba Oil, (Best to use Jojoba Oil for children), and use 1-2 times daily as required.

Children 6 months to 2 years:   Use only 1-2 drops diluted with 5ml of jojoba oil for topical use and rub on the soles of the feet in case of skin sensitivity.

If under a doctor’s care consult your health practitioner.

Safety Considerations:

Avoid during pregnancy.  NOT for internal use: if ingested do not induce vomiting, drink milk, consult a health specialist. Avoid contact with eyes: flush with water. Keep out of reach of children. Do not apply inside mouth or ears, anywhere near the eyes, or other sensitive areas of the body.  For skin conditions always heavily dilute and consult an experienced Aromatherapist or your health practitioner.
